Meredith Younger (b. 1980, Ft Worth, TX) graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003 with a BFA in Ceramics and a minor in Art History. She has worked with several venerable Rhode Island art organizations and communities, including the Steel Yard, AS220, and New Urban Arts, as well as collaborated with friends near and far, in cities ranging from Providence to Oakland, and New Orleans to Detroit. Well-versed in a variety of sculptural media, and with a focus on the ceramic figure, her work asks the viewer to contemplate the eternal and unyielding cycle of life, death, and rebirth-- both throughout the multiverses, and within themselves.
She currently lives and works in Providence, RI with her daughter, Allegra.
